Oh, dear readers…it is so ON today. (claps hands. rubs them together)
My most awesomely fantastic, velociraptor lovin’, pretentiously lyrical, ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK-pushing, Twitter pal Leah Raeder is in the spotlight today with her UNTEACHABLE blog tour.
It’s safe to say that I didn’t know how much I would love this book when I agreed to review it.
You can call it love, or you can call it freefall. They’re pretty much the same thing.
I call it love. Serious booknerdgirl love. It’s, um, unbelievably good. I want to have babies with this book. I have been utterly spoiled by this book.
I can’t make myself re-read it (not typical for me) because the first ride was so good that I don’t want to go back again yet. That will change over time, but not anytime soon.
It’s been widely celebrated all over the blogosphere, at Goodreads, and is currently rated 4.6/5 stars at Amazon.
I already wrote a gushing review of it here. It even chronicles our very first conversations. Check it out.
Today I have been tasked with casting the book’s (fictional-at-this-time-but-I-won’t-rule-it-out-and-you-can-quote-me-on- that) lead characters. This book is a movie waiting to happen. Are you listening HOLLYWOOD PEOPLE?
Without further ado…I give you Maise and Evan.
I bugged Leah a lot recently over the casting for this post because I wanted to know the faces she was envisioning when she was writing UNTEACHABLE. Despite all the other beautiful faces I’ve seen cast in various reviews, these are the real deal.
And because I love them… (also Leah’s suggestions)
I STILL want to have coffee with Siobhan. Leah…make that happen for me, will you, please?
If you’re still waiting to read this book…stop it. You can thank me later.
